Our Peer Support Volunteers have all received specialised training in providing Peer Support. Our Volunteers will never judge you or tell you what to do, they are there to listen and where appropriate to share how they would have handled either the concerns you have or similar concerns which they may have had.
And, finally, the main headlines of Peer Support!
- It's there to help you
- It's totally confidential
It's non-judgemental and if you decide to avail of it you are not making any long-term commitment, you decide whether you want to continue or end the Peer Support.
Peer Support is something which SBHI members said that they wanted to see in place. After a lot of very careful preparation it is here so feel free to use it. If you do use it, please make sure to tell us what you thought of it or if you feel you want to become a volunteer please let us know and we will let you know when the next round of training is.
Remember the number is 087 6317470. We're on this journey of living with spina bifida/hydrocephalus together and together we can make that journey a little easier to travel.
